Dazzling Outdoor Maternity Pictures in the Fall

What an honor is was to capture these outdoor maternity pictures in the fall for Eric & Rosemary. I met this sweet couple when they hired our partners, Erie Wedding & Event Services for their Wedding DJ & Silver & Sage Studios for their Wedding Photo Booth. Shortly after their wedding our team had the bonus excitement of capturing their FIRST pregnancy with Maternity Photos at Porreco Center near their home. When they found out they were expecting again of course we were thrilled to capture this pregnancy as well. This time, Eric & Rosemary came to our neck of the woods. 

We met up at one of my favorite ever places to shoot, Fisherman’s Beach in North East, Pa for their photos. This public park is a dream to shoot in. It features old growth trees such as willows, a creek, a creekside walking trail, manicured lawns and beach access! It’s everything you could want all wrapped up in one spot. We began these outdoor maternity pictures in the fall at my favorite spot in the park. Right off the creekside path is a tree with low hanging branches that perfectly frame your subject with bursts of color while the brighter sky over the creek glows. It was a bit overcast that day so we didn’t quite get the sun glow, however, the bright pops of orange on the changing branches were perfect. 

As with last time, Rosemary chose a floral dress. Unlike last time it was warm enough for her to go without putting a sweater on in between shots, which was a nice change. Eric complimented his beautiful bride in a navy blue polo shirt. Polo shirts are the ideal blend between casual and dressy and are SO comfy for photo shoots. I highly recommend investing in a few neutral colored polos if you’re expecting to be featured in any photo sessions soon. 

After taking full advantage of my little sweet spot for these outdoor maternity pictures in the fall, we walked onward down the creekside path for more photos with the gorgeous wooded area behind the expectant parents. We continued our adventure down to the beach stopping at an old oak tree next to the utility barn. It provided the ideal spot for some intimate photos of this loving couple. We ended on the beach where we found a log to seat Eric & Rosemary together for some more creative shots and finally we captured mom-to-be in front of Lake Erie before we lost the light as dusk fell. 

I really can’t express what an honor it’s been capturing this sweet families journey as they grow. We hope to see them in the future for more milestones.
