Sunset Pregnancy Announcement at Presque Isle
It’s no lie or secret that our team LOVES what they do and we get excited for every single portrait session we’re honored to be a part of. But this one….was extra special. Expectant parents, Matt & Susan are members of our team! Matthew is one of our second shooters and Susan is on the decorating & design team. So, capturing this pregnancy announcement at Presque Isle State Park was like icing on the cake. Just the right amount of sweet sweet love. Normally, we end up doing sessions on our home turf in East County, but Matt & Susan are currently residing in Millcreek so we came to them and caught a gorgeous Lake Erie sunset.
The only props this expectant couple brought along were a pair of baby shoes. So, we made sure to incorporate the tiny little shoes their tiny little one would someday wear during this pregnancy announcement at Presque Isle. You’ll notice in the cover photo that their due date is written on the bottom of the shoe. This little tyke will be joining our team…probably as a model for the first few years…in January. So, it looks like we’ll be capturing third trimester Maternity Photos in the fall at some point!
Matt & Susan met in high school at a church youth group and remained friends until college when they began dating. They dated long distance as Matt was attending Bible College in upstate New York while Susan was attending business school in southern Pennsylvania. But, they made it work and soon became engaged. The covid shut down changed their plans just a little bit and they ended up hosting a very small wedding in the late spring of 2020. Our partners at Silver & Sage Studios captured the Wedding for them.
In spring of 2021 they excitedly announced their pregnancy to family, friends and our team. We couldn’t be more thrilled for this sweet couple.
