Maternity Photos at Eaton Reservoir in North East Pa
Expectant parents, Kaylee & Dominic, grew up in the quaint, tight knit town of North East, Pa. That’s why they chose a popular local spot. These maternity photos at Eaton Reservoir were a dream to capture for this adorable couple. Kaylee & Dominic met in high school. In fact, I also met Kaylee & Dominic in high school. I was working there was an aid for a few years and it happened to be during the time these two attended. Kaylee lived not far from our family and became one of my kids favorite babysitters. So, when they found out they were expecting their first child I was so excited they gave me the honor of capturing this chapter of their journey. Unfortunately, things do happen in life so our session time was cut a bit short. We had to make due with just about 45 minutes of daylight left on this warm fall day. Luckily I did bring some lighting with me so as daylight turned quickly to dusk we were able to capture a few additional shots.
Kaylee was still feeling pretty spry during this stage of her pregnancy so we decided to walk as far as we could on the 3 mile trail for these maternity photos at Eaton Reservoir. Shortly after we began down the path I noticed a little clearing in the woods right next to the path so we stopped there briefly for some woodsy images. As we continued on I noticed the two of them holding hands. It was so cute I stopped them on the path for some posed photos.
As we made our way around the water during these maternity photos at Eaton Reservoir we spotted a few benches and as mama’s often need to do…Kaylee wanted to stop and rest and enjoy the tranquility of the water as the sun was beginning to set. I took the opportunity, since time was short with them, to snap a few more photos before we lost light. After that we thought it best to turn back before we were stuck stumbling in the dark. We did spot a cute little red leaf and I just so happened to have a silver permanent marker on me. (Okay, so it’s something I always pack in my arsenal because you never know when you need a permanent marker.) We jotted their due date down on the leaf to memorialize the date. And as we were leaving these maternity photos at Eaton Reservoir we stopped to set up those lights and grab a few slightly dramatic images.
