Dreamy Fall Maternity Photos

Welcome to the oh so dreamy fall maternity photos for expectant parents, Matt & Susan. As we mentioned in their Pregnancy Announcement Gallery, Matt & Susan are both members of our team. So, capturing these fall maternity photos was..to our team…a dream come true. Last time we met this sweet couple on the west side of Erie County at the popular tourist spot, Presque Isle. This time we met them at the most popular beach access spot in North East, Pa, Fisherman’s Beach. Fisherman’s Beach is one of the best location to capture photos in as far as I’m concerned. You’ve got old growth Willow Trees, open manicured lawns, a wooded creekside path, and the beach with the creek access point. What more could you ask for? This idyllic location was perfect for mom-to-be, Susan, who enjoys moodier photos. The fading greens and pops of orange, red and yellow as fall progressed perfectly suited that moodier feel for these enchanting images. 

To fit in with the fall maternity photos, Susan wore a cheery dark red dress and Matt gussied up in a wine colored dress shirt and crisp blue jeans. To be fair, I’ve known Matt his entire life and this is his regular attire. He always looks handsome and put together. We met in the parking lot at the front of the park and began our journey back towards the beach. However, we did not go all the way to the beach as it was fall and Susan & Matt had opted for a beach pregnancy announcement. They wanted a different feel to this session. We took advantage of the changing foliage as nature sheds her summer attire and readies for winter with bright bursts of warmth in the leaves. There’s this one spot that I find myself drawn to time and again at Fisherman’s Beach. Just hidden off the beaten path are some low lying branches that make a stunning backdrop no matter the season. A bright opening to the sun and creek beyond peaks through the branches. We took some breath taking images reflecting their love and excitement in that spot. We moved further down the wooded creekside path to our favorite fallen log. Many a couple and family have been posed on this log for some jaw-dropping images. We changed it up a bit for Matt & Susan during these fall maternity photos by posing her leaning up against him, dad-to-be cradling her belly. 

Next, we moved down towards the beach with an expansive open lawn with woods on the opposite side. It’s a fantastic spot for some wide shots showcasing the scenery. The wind was just picking up a bit so we were able to capture some of my favorite type of images. Finally, on the way back I noticed a nook in the woods I had never seen before so I asked Matt & Susan to stop for just one more quick set of fall maternity photos before we left. Those private images just perfectly glow with their love for each other. We can’t wait to update this gallery in just a few weeks with images from their newborn session! Keep your eyes open.
