Mercyhurst Graduation Portraits - Morgan's Story
This Pittsburgh native and Class of 2022 graduate reached out to capture her Mercyhurst Graduation Portraits right on campus. I was more than happy to meet Morgan on campus and help her create some memories of her time at the university. I’m a little partial myself as I also attended Mercyhurst.
Morgan graduated with a degree in fashion and as we walked about campus we discussed her next steps. She’s excited to be moving to New York City to begin her career after spending the summer in Pittsburgh visiting with family & friends. Morgan didn’t really have a special spot on campus that she wanted to memorialize in her Mercyhurst Graduation Portraits, so we just looked around for some nice scenery. Because it was already late May the spring had really blossomed and so many gorgeous plants were calling to us. We started at the front of the campus where a brick wall covered in ivy was just begging for a few photos of this fashion school graduate. Afterwards we walked around back to where the clock on campus keeps everyone on time to class. It’s a popular meeting spot for friends and a fantastic place to grab some Mercyhurst Graduation Portraits. It’s just…iconic.
After that we discovered several blooming trees that made very nice backgrounds. In particular I fell in love with one full of cheery pink blossoms. We decided to wrap up with some cap toss photos in front of Old Main. But lastly, Morgan brought a bottle of bubbly with her for these Mercyhurst Graduation Portraits and for the first time ever I was excited to capture a champagne pop! It was so much fun! Morgan made it look so easy.
We wish Morgan the best of luck on her career as a fashion icon and hope to wear something she designed one day!
