Gannon Graduation Portraits - Chidera's Story
We met with this Class of 2021 Senior for her Gannon Graduation Portraits just a few hours before her ceremony on an overcast, chilly morning in May. Chidera is a lovely young lady who immigrated to the states to pursue a higher education. She studied engineering at Gannon University in downtown Erie, Pa and plans on moving to Texas shortly graduating to begin her career.
It was very important to Chidera to memorialize her time at the university by capturing her Gannon Graduation Portraits right on campus. Sadly, the buildings were all locked down because it was a Sunday, but luckily the rain held off allowing us to capture these images. The other thing that was very important to Chidera to include was a homage to her cultural heritage which is why she wore the colorful scarf along with her cap and gown during our session.
We spent the majority of our time in the center of campus very close to the GANNON arch over 7th street. Because she’s an avid reader, Chidera brought one of her engineering books with her as a prop to use during her Gannon graduation portraits. We got a lot of fun photos near the large clock on the center of campus as well as with the arch. At the end of the session one of Chidera’s friends walked by and she stopped to take a few photos with him as well.
