Bee's Story - Senior Photos in a Coffee Shop
This beautiful young lady spent her senior year as an exchange student attending North East High School in North East, Pa. Her host family quickly introduced her to the sights and sounds of this quaint, small town on the shores of Lake Erie. Her host sister, Cass and Bee began spending many happy afternoons at the local cafe, The Bean. That’s why Bee chose this spot to do her Senior Photos in a Coffee Shop. Her host family treated her to the very American experience of a traditional Senior Portrait Session. We had captured Cass’s Senior Session at the Beach just a few months prior.
It was already November when we met up with Bee and her host family for these photos so she dressed for the weather in autumn colors just as our Fall Senior Photo Guide suggests. The rust orange sweater was perfect for the day and the scenery. After a cup of steaming cocoa we decided to take a stroll over to one of the other iconic locations in North East, The Train Museum. Once again, Bee’s outfit fit perfectly into the scene with the cheery colors of the old locomotives. Taking photos on the train tracks in the museum is one of my favorite things to do because they are closed and safe. The only thing you need to worry about it an excited 4 year old running past you as they gaze in wonder at the huge old train cars and engines.
Even though we began these senior photos in a coffee shop and moved onto the train museum, we weren’t done yet. We still had time on our clock and there was one other iconic location in North East that Bee wanted to visit. The old grounds at Saint Mary’s, now named Granite Ridge and serving as a Veterans Affairs Service, was the end of our adventure. The old stone buildings, ivy covered stone walls, and little wooden gazebo are ideal spots for beautiful and whimsical photos. It’s a popular spot that locals frequent for a leisurely sunset stroll.
We had a fantastic time capturing some creative and memorable senior photos in a coffee shop, train museum and historic landmark with this sweet exchange student. We wish her well on her many adventures in life and hope after her senior year is done she comes back to visit!
