Iroquois High Graduation Portraits - Rachel's Story
This sweet, intelligent Iroquois High School Class of 2020 had so much to celebrate when she had her Iroquois High Graduation Portraits. Rachel was celebrating the huge achievement of graduating valedictorian during one of the most difficult years possible, the 2020 covid shut down. In fact, this sassy lady wasn’t even able to deliver her graduation speech to her classmates due to the shut down. Instead, she was videotaped and the school broadcast it online on youtube.
Rachel was active in the Iroquois High School Marching Band, playing the clarinet, flute and mellophone during those years. She was also involved in Kiwanis Kids and during her high school years she tutored younger kids in math and science. Rachel plans on attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the fall on a full scholarship. Her field of study will be chemistry.
We met up with Rachel near her home in North East to capture these Iroquois High Graduation Portraits on the old train tracks where there was no risk of oncoming trains. Rachel dressed casually in comfortable jeans and a navy blue sweater that popped nicely off of her gold graduation Cap & Gown. Iroquois High School Braves proudly wear the black & gold school colors whenever they are able to.
We’re so excited to see where this young lady goes in life. We know that with her hard work ethic and determined mind set she’ll make something of herself and change the world.
Rachel plans on attending IUP in the fall to major in chemistry. We’ll be there to capture her college graduation photos as well!
