Senior Photos on a Pond - Shay's Story
These Senior Photos on a Pond were some of my favorites to capture ever. That’s because I personally knew this senior. She is my sometimes babysitter who makes my boys fried potatoes when she’s over. Shyanne is a Class of 2022 Graduate of North East High School. We live in a tight-knit little community and she’s one of my kids favorite sitters. She’s a sweetheart. Like many local kids Shyanne grew up on her family farm in a rural area. So, she decided that having homestead senior photos on a pond would be perfect. Although, I have to admit, we did not stick to the pond. There were way too many other cool spots to explore.
We actually started our session by taking a walk in the wooded area along the farm property line. With it being October, the foliage was gorgeous for photos. I love the warm colors of fall and they looked fantastic against Shay’s complexion. She opted for a creamy off white sweater and beanie set that really popped off the background scenery AND allowed me to grab a shot I’d wanted to do for quite awhile. On our way back out of the woods on our way to get those senior photos on a pond, we stopped by the piglets enclosure. They were so cute.
Next stop of course were Shay’s senior photos on a pond and the slightly overgrown foliage gave us a very creative scene. We tried for a reflection shot, but their was a breeze in the air so the water wasn’t quite still enough. There was one more spot that Shay wanted to take photos at before we wrapped up so we took a quick stroll over to her favorite childhood hangout spot, the tire swing. I didn’t share any of the bloopers here, but there were a few as she got onto the swing.
After we wrapped up shooting Shay’s senior photos on a pond, we spent a little time with her pet bunny and the hilarious little hens running around the yard. It was an awesome experience capturing these photos for my favorite babysitter!
