Senior Portraits in North East - Cadence's Story
Capturing Cadence’s Senior Portraits in North East meant a lot to me. We live in a small close knit community so most of us are at least acquainted. But in this case, Tonya, Cadence’s mom, is one of my favorite people. AND our team had captured her older sister, Kaylee’s Senior Session just a few years earlier. Just like her older sister, Cadence, this North East High School Class of 2024 Grad, is involved in Volley Ball and opted to take her senior portraits in North East down at Fisherman’s Beach. There’s one other reason I was excited to capture this senior session…Cadence is my youngest son’s favorite person. She once jumped into a pool fully clothed to make him feel more comfortable when he was a little nervous at another local senior’s graduation party.
The day was gorgeous and warm with just the right amount of breeze to gently tussle Cadence’s dark hair. We started at the head of the park taking advantage of the beautiful early fall/late summer foliage still vivid green from the warm weather. Cadence hadn’t gone far to shop, just in her proud big sister’s closest just like our Senior Girls Outfit Guide suggests….well…maybe not the siblings closet…unless you have permission. But it does suggest to pick an outfit you’re familiar with and comfortable in to avoid awkward wardrobe malfunctions. Cadence looked beautiful in the light summery sundress.
While Kaylee stood by on makeup refresh duty Cadence and I went about capturing some gorgeous memories for her senior portraits in North East. Her smoldering looks had me feeling like she was a model from a 1960’s fashion catalog. I am in LOVE with this gallery.
As the day began to turn to dusk, we headed to the beach where Cadence wanted some lakefront photos with her volley ball. She also wanted some shots of her walking in the surf. They turned out fantastic. As the night got darker she quickly changed into a light green sundress and we took some last photos as the light left the sky on a grassy knoll just above the lake shore with a dramatic sky behind us. Because the day was partly cloudy we only got a little bit of the dramatic, bold color of the famous Erie sunsets, but none the less it was spectacular.
