Senior Pictures on the Beach - Melanie's Story
This Class of 2020 Graduate of Harborcreek High School wanted to take her senior pictures on the beach right near her home. So, we met up at Shades Beach in Harborcreek, the only public beach in this small town on the outskirts of Erie, Pa. We started by climbing up the cliff trail to the top of the lake cliff overlooking the beach to take in the beauty of this park.
Melanie brought along her grandparents and a few childhood photos so after we descended the hilltop trail we took some nice “parent pleaser” photos with her childhood photo in a frame before walking downhill to reach the beach. Shades beach has a nifty drift wood bench built right onto the beach so we always try to get a few cute photos on it when we’re there for senior pictures on the beach. Before we left the board walk area we used some beach rocks to write 2020 on the wooden board walk for some cute photos.
Unfortunately it was an overcast summer day so we knew we wouldn’t be catching one of the dramatic sunsets Lake Erie is known for, but Melanie is a sweet and adventurous girl so she eagerly climbed out onto the break wall constructed of large rocks for a nice scene. After taking advantage of the breakers we walked a little further down and found the creek access point with some privacy and lush grass. This area set a beautiful scene for the end of our senior pictures on the beach.
We’re so glad to have spent the day with Melanie helping to tell her story before she embarks on the next big adventure.
